Overview of the migration process

Use the McAfee MOVE AntiVirus Migration Assistant to migrate product settings where a legacy version of one or more product modules is installed.

  1. Check that the legacy products that you want to migrate settings for are supported.
  2. Install the Migration Assistant extension on the McAfee ePO server.
  3. On the Migration Assistant, select a type of migration, then follow the instructions on the screen.
    • Automatic migration — Migrates all your legacy policies and client tasks. Retains assignments.
    • Manual migration — Select and optionally configure and migrate each policy and client task. Does not retain assignments.
    • Migrate Agentless Deployment Configuration Details — Migrates the legacy product deployment data (Agentless only).
  4. Verify that your settings were migrated successfully.
