How migration updates product settings

Changes to Endpoint Security policies include new policies, categories, options, and default settings that are designed to leverage the latest protection technologies and optimize product performance.

During the migration process, legacy settings for policies, options, rules, and tasks might be renamed, removed, or reset to default values, depending on how the features work in Endpoint Security. Some settings are moved to new categories or policies, or merged with other settings. Similar settings from products running on multiple operating system platforms can be migrated to separate, single-platform policies or shared multi-platform policies.
