What's new in the 2.6 release

Releases can introduce new features and enhancements or update platform support.

Note: This release supports only 64-bit Microsoft server-class operating systems. 32-bit Microsoft server-class operating systems are not supported.

New features

This release introduces new features or improves existing features:

  • Collect log files — The Collect log files from option for McAfee Web Gateway Cloud Service now displays a new field named Region. You can select US or EU as the region from where the log files are collected.
  • Log source changes — In the Log format and Mode drop-down lists, McAfee SaaS Web Protection Service is now renamed as McAfee Web Gateway Cloud Service.
  • License — The Content Security Reporter EULA has been updated for this release.
  • Report format changes — The reports generated from the Queries & Reports now include new columns for McAfee Web Gateway Cloud Service:
    • Last Rule
    • Block Reason
    • Location
    • Client IP Address
    • User Agent
    • Http Status

Updated platform, environment, or operating system support

This release extends support to additional platforms, environments, or operating systems:

  • Platform supportContent Security Reporter 2.5 and later are compatible with McAfee® ePolicy Orchestrator® (McAfee® ePO™) 5.10.
  • Operating system supportContent Security Reporter 2.6 supports Windows Server 2019.
  • Web services supportContent Security Reporter 2.6 supports Amazon Web Services (AWS) Relational Database Service (RDS).

Migrating from Web Reporter to Content Security Reporter

As McAfee® Web Reporter has reached its end of life, you must migrate to Content Security Reporter to analyze your network activity.
