Database maintenance options allow you to perform tasks that optimize database performance and free database space. Over time, records are added to the database and more space is used. To free space in the database, you can delete older records you no longer need. System maintenance options allow you to configure tasks that remove system status information and server logs to reduce disk space usage. Important: McAfee recommends that you perform database maintenance tasks during off-peak times. During maintenance, the database and new queries and reports are not available.
