Support for Windows 10 version 1809 (October 2018 Update) This release adds support for Windows 10 version 1809 running on the endpoints. Client software for macOS endpoints in 64-bit format This release provides client software for Mac endpoints in 64-bit file format. The software only supports endpoints running 64-bit versions of macOS. Changes in supported operating systems Operating system Supported in this release OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) No longer supported OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) No longer supported macOS 10.12 (Sierra) Supported macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) Supported macOS 10.14 (Mojave) Supported The Client Proxy installer automatically upgrades McAfee Agent, Functional Module Platform (FMP), and Microsoft Common User Interface (MSCUI) software to these 64-bit versions if they are not already installed: McAfee Agent 5.5.1 FMP 10.5.5 MSCUI 10.5.5 Caution: If you plan on upgrading to Client Proxy 2.3.5, you must upgrade all McAfee endpoint products to their 64-bit versions at the same time. Otherwise, the Client Proxy upgrade breaks endpoint software that is still 32-bit. SHA-256 replaces SHA-1 This release supports OpenSSL SHA-256 library functions, replacing SHA-1. The software uses SHA-256 to encrypt Client Proxy headers and the shared secret. This change requires these minimum Web Gateway versions: Web Gateway 18.104.22.168 or later Web Gateway 7.7.1 or later Common Catalog upgrade (McAfee ePO) This release supports the upgrade of Common Catalog to 2.0.4. New features (McAfee ePO) In this release, the software logs critical error messages to a text file in the Logs folder on Windows endpoints: C:\ProgramData\McAfee\MCP\Logs\Mcp.log This release adds an option to block all traffic sent to the configured ports when no proxy server can be reached. In this release, the software sends the redirection status of the policy from the endpoints to McAfee ePO. You can view the redirection status in the System Tree. In this release, the software includes the process name with the metadata that it adds to web requests when redirecting them to a proxy. This change requires Web Gateway version 7.8.2 or later. New features (McAfee ePO Cloud) This release adds an option to block all traffic sent to the configured ports when no proxy server can be reached. This release adds the auto proxy switchover feature. When this feature is enabled, the software checks the proxy server list at the polling interval you specify to see if a higher priority server is available. In this release, you can create global Common Catalog instances and associate each one with more than one Client Proxy policy.
