Before you begin

  • Make sure that you have the following:

    • A directory on the SFTP or FTP server where you want to store the backup files
  • Collect the following SFTP or FTP server information.
    • IPv4 address
    • The user name that Advanced Threat Defense uses to access the SFTP or FTP server

Make sure that the user name has write access to the specified folder.

    • The corresponding password that Advanced Threat Defense uses to access the SFTP or FTP server.
  • Make sure that the communication over SFTP or FTP is possible between Advanced Threat Defense and the SFTP or FTP server.
